Scheduled maintenance on leased cars

For those of you leasing your G's - do you adhere to the maintenance schedule? If not, what do you do?

I'm leasing my sedan, and I'll turn it in at the end of the lease. So, I don't want to waste my money trying to make the car last longer. However, I want to make sure I do what's necessary for it to perform well for me for the next 3 years. Plus, I don't want to void any warranty issues.

Just curious about how you think I should handle it. It's new, so I haven't had to do anything yet.

Thanx!

You are obligated to perform at least the minimum maintenance schedule recommended by Infiniti. If you get it serviced outside of the dealership, keep the receipts. If not, they can hit you with penalties for failing to maintain it according to their maintenance schedule.

When I lease, I maintain the ride the same as if I own it. They require it of you to maintain warranty and lease agreement.
As you say, the minimum is ample, but don't skimp too much.

$650 for 30K maintenace!!!

I understand not wanting to void the warranty but besides changing the engine oil what other fluids actually NEED to be replaced at 30K? Will the fluids a Nissan or Infiniti dealership use be any better than what any garage would use? I just got quoted $650 for the 30K maintenace and I am not paying that!

I don't plan on taking mine back to the dealership until I turn it in at the end of the lease or something goes wrong.
They said you can take it anywhere you want for oil, etc as long as you keep records and receipts.

My wife leases a Jag and they require scheduled maintenance. Does the G also require scheduled maintanance to avoid penalties.

Reading this site scares me about used G35s.

You read about people racing them.

About mods that, in my opinion, ruin the look of the car.

Now, wanting to skip maintenance.

I wouldn't want to buy an used G35 that needed a new engine at 67000 miles like my last used car did.

noone was talking about skipping maintenance. I think his question was more around JUST changing the oil every 7500 miles vs getting all the "froo" done at the dealership. (ie a $75 service vs a $450 one)

Skipping maintenance is a recipe for not having a car to turn in at the end of a 3 year lease at all
