What's the best way to protect the car under the sun?

When you can, this is what I would do:
Meguiars Deep Crystal System (MDCS for short) - 3 Steps + some
1) MDCS Paint Cleaner
2) MDCS Polish
3) MDCS Carnuba Wax, Gold Class, or NXT
4) Additional 1 or 2 layers of the wax you chose in step 3.
Even then, I recommend you wash weekly and use Meguiars NXT Quick Wax each time after you wash.
Be very careful with your Black G though! Black cars are tough to maintain, but very "rewarding" when they are clean and shining.
If you need more information on the Deep Crystal System, PM me. I have been using this stuff for years. Also, make sure you are using the right application pads, buffing pads, and of course, microfiber towels. In fact, your "tools" are just as important as your "materials".
Good Luck

I should of lease the car so I don't need to care for it and give it back in 3 months.
Thanks for your advice though. Today I just wax with the included applicator pad. I waxed it vertically and not the circling shape (that creates swirls). Then I cleaned it with microfiber afterward. I know you shouldn't wax under the sun. I did...and almost fainted in the 100 degree weather.

You need a synthetic coating of some kind. The synthetics will last a lot longer than any sort of carnauba wax. Zaino, Wolfgang, Klasse...all good places to start. They're sealants, not waxes, so they tend to last longer.
If you want something quick and easy, stick with the new Meguiar's NXT waxes, they're loaded with synthetics.
