pic before i lowered my car

Picture taken before changing to a full 350z suspension. I have to say that the car looks MUCH better with the drop and handles a little tighter. I'd recommend a drop on 19s.

Running 245/35/19 in the front and 275/30/19 in the rear on Axis HG-11 wheels.

Of course, the same week I lowered the car, I smashed into something on the highway. It was dark so I don't know what it was but now my fender is all f'ed up and the belly pan needs to be re-clipped.

By the end of this week I will have my SF-Winnings mounted and do not plan on doing a drop. I will try to post some pics.

You should lower it to make it look right. It will look dorky if you don't. when I get some time I plan to install my eibach springs

My G35X isn't lowered. I think if you go with the right size tire you can pull this off with a stock look and minimal wheel gap. A 30 or 35 series tire will reqiure you to lower the car for looks.

I'm running a 40 series tire and folks tell me all the time that the wheels look like they came stock on the car. My Gap is minimal since the meaty tire helps fill the gap.

Hey...that's very nice!!! The fender gap looks better than the stock sports suspension with 18 inches. What tire size are those and what are the rim size? How's the handling of them without lowering you car?

Rims are 19X8.5 Privat Profiles
Tires are Toyo TS1's 245x40x19 all around.

The rim shop fought me the whole time, they insisted on a 30 or 35 series tire. (Probably becuase they had it in stock) I said if I'm paying I'm getting what I want. The 40 series gives me a little more pothole protection and the ride quality has only slightly diminished from stock. The TS1's are an extremly sticky tire, the cornering and handeling has improved to the 10th power. But I'm sure the wider contact patch has something to do with this.

It's a matter of opinion. I agree. I'm running Toyo Proxes 4 245/40/18. The gaps are not bad IMO. It's more the wheels making them look too small. Anyway nothing spectacular out there to drop an X anyway IMO.

offset

They're at 45 offset. After the 350z drop there was no need to roll the fender but I imagine that if I had packed the trunk full of weight, I *might* have rubbing issues but the shop I went to didn't seem to think it'd be a problem. It's best I don't roll my fenders since this setup is just for the summer weather. It's going back to stock wheels and suspension as soon as the season changes.

Awesome thread guys... I've been STRESSED about rim sizes too, just don't want rubbing. Sounds like it's either 245/40/19s or 245/35/20s (just about the exact same diameters.

I think I'll lean towards the 19s, as I already have the 350Z drop and love the results. THANKS FOR TH PICS GUYS. Very helpful.

I would put pay more attention to the offset of the wheels. I put '05 19" coupe wheels on my '04 sedan. They stick out a little in the rear. If I did lower it, I would bet they rub with much weight in the back. I will try to post some pick ASAP.

it just wouldn't make sense to *not* get 19s unless you lived in pot-hole city.
