Can someone tell me if we are supposed to get maintenance manual when we bought the car? I wonder how much my dealer will charge to get one of those now! My old car had maintenance schedule listed at the end of the owner's manual. Why does infinity have 2 separate books? geez! I just assumed everything will be in the one book - owner's manual!
Yes, you are supposed to have a service manual which is seperate from the owner's manual.

Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread, but I'm hoping you guys can help me out. When I bought my used 2004.5 G35 Sedan a couple years ago, I created an xls that details the schedule I should follow for these activities:
Replace engine air filter.
Replace engine coolant.
Replace in-cabin microfilter.
Replace oil/filter.
Replace spark plugs.
Rotate tires.

However, I just noticed that I don't have any other activities listed in that xls. Can you share your thoughts re. the estimated mileage and/or duration for when the following will need to be replaced:
transmission fluid
differential fluid
power steering fluid
brake fluid
heater hoses
brake pads
drive belts

(I don't know much about cars other than what I read off of the internet and my manuals.) Thanks much.

look at a few DIY, they are quite simple though they do require some tools which is worth the buck if you ask me.

I've been doing all my own maintenance, and I can tell you that I do far a better job than any dealer or other shop would. The only problems I come across are not having the proper tools. I've been buying tools here and there and as needed while I work on things. In fact, I just change my front brakes and rotors today. Tomorrow I'll be replacing the rearl wheel hub bearing and I'll post a DIY.

My opinions...other's will vary

Trans Fluid - drain/fill every 30K miles...some here do it every year regardless of miles.
Diff fluid - 50K miles or so (can go longer if you refill with M1 synthetic or other quality lube)
PS fluid - drain reseviour and refill. May need to repeat 2-3 times. No set timeframe, but the more often you do it, the cleaner it will be. I prefer yearly since it's easy.
Brake Fluid - flush every 1-2 years...esp if you live in places with high humidity. If you live in AZ..you can prob go longer intervals.
Heater hoses - inspect and replace as needed
Brake pads - inspect and replace as needed
drive belts - inspect and replace as needed. Cracks are okay, but if peices start to come off...replace.

EXACTLY the type of response I was looking for! Regardless of whether or not there are differing opinions, I appreciate your response. Thanks man.

Pretty sure none of that has been done to my car since 30k mile mark...and im a day or two away from 100k. How much will all the cost at a nissan dealership?

ouch, I would skip the tranny fluid, if you did go 100k on the original fluid.
