I know this is not a nice comment, but....

For someone who puts nismo in their username, you should already know basic data like what the stock 1/4 mile times are... if not, your name makes you seem rice to me.

(Man,....do I ever dislike rice...)

Yes I also dislike rice and I also dislike someone who automaticaly assumes that someone is a ricer because their user name is nismo. Dont ever reply to another one of my threads you ignorant fool. I dare you to ask me anything on the b15 (my last car) oh wait you probably dont even know what that means, but I'm sure you pride yourself on your "knowledge" of the g35.

Chinee and Nismo4090, Let's not start WW3 here over a simple question. Chinee-- I don't think you should call Nismo a ricer just cuz he wants to know our quarter mile times. right.
I'm sure he's got some idea of the car's performance, but wanted some input. No need to insult-----PEACE------------

Pesti did reply with is time. The mags all tend to print different times. I am currently looking through back issues.

If your pretty good, and the track conditions are fair, you should see times in the high 14's (14.7 - 14.9) for a 5AT

The quickest 1/4 mile time i've seen for the G35 Sedan from a member on this board was 14.1 secs, but that was with a 6MT

Re: Stock 5A sedan quarter mile times?

From what I've read, you can expect somewhere in the 14.5 to 14.9 sec range for the A/T Sedan, depending on your technique and whether you've raced b4. Pesti got a 15 second run because he's still new at it. With a little practice, he'll get the time down I'm sure. G/L bro.....

Re: Stock 5A sedan quarter mile times?

) Thanks man.. I think adreneline (sp?) got the best of me... I think I lost torque because after i brake torqued I think i pressed the gass all the way down instead of gradually pushing it.. oh well.. I ran 8 times.. got as high as 16 and some... but it was pretty fun for my first time

Re: Stock 5A sedan quarter mile times?

My personal best listed down below. I am still trying to figure out how to launch the car cause I am used to a manual. I know I will get better times with different tires too cause the stock ones don't have great traction. I am dead stock but hopefully not for long as soon as someone decides to make a y-pipe for the car.

best ET: 14.730 @ 96.14mph

wow thats pretty good.. how did you launch? I just reved to around 2500 brake torquing.. it seems like the takeoff can be faster though.. :/

Re: Stock 5A sedan quarter mile times?

I did 14.70 with greddy evo exhaust and stillen intake. I used brake torque to about 1800rpm and gradually accelerated. I'm pretty sure I could've done better...but no need to push my car harder....I'm happy with my time. However, given harder launch/accerlation...14.4-14.5 is very possible. Hope this helps.

dont forget diff tracks will get you diff times also. Elevation will play a role on the times that you will get.
