help me identify this clicking sound

comingout of te rear right wheel area of my 04 g35x. It's adible when I'm stopped at a light and tap the gas pedal...almost as a result of the car squatting down a little... it happens when I put it in reverse too...a little tap of the gas and I hear the click again... any idea what it can be...?? I did a visual inspection comparing the right and left wheel well areas, looking at the springs and did not notice anything weird... can someone help me out?

Take it to the dealer. They will fix it under warranty. Its related to the Axle bearings. At 30k they just greased mine bearings and tightened up the bolts. Seems to be gone for now.

Went to the dealership...they told me they had to tigheted the axle nuts..(do clue how a loose axle nut would cause this sound) and how it happens on all the G cars..coupes and sedans...they told me that the coupes have a recall and they replace the part but with the sedans they just tighten it every oil change..... anyway a week later the sound is back....what should I tell them this time around....so that can actually FIX the problem isntead of trying to remedy it...

I just started getting that too. It's like when you start rolling from a stop but not when you go over bumps. It sounds like a rattle-y hollow scratchy sound. Does anyone know where this axle nut is? And what is the harm if driving with it loose?

I had the same thing. Took it to the dealer, some other (but similar) noise came back after 3 weeks. First time, it was the axle nuts. Second time, a stabilizer bar. Try bouncing the car up and down from the outside, see if it clicks when the suspension bounces. If so, it's likely the stabilizer bar like mine and so many others I heard of.

Good luck.
