G-Tech SS Owners: Help?
G-Tech SS Owners: Help?
Alright. I put in the new g-tech ss in my 05 g35sedan 6mt. i programmed it according to the engine/revs/blah blah blah. what i'm not sure about is the "pitch factor". it says for a stiff ride like an m3, to set it at 2.0 and for a softer ride such as a ford taurus, set it to 3.5. what should i set the g35 too!? i was thinkng maybe a 2.7. i set that and did a 0-60mph. i got a 5.9. the weight of the car i entered was 3500. OH BY THE WAY!!!! ON THE DAMN DOOR IT SAYS OUR WEIGHT IS 4400! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT CRAP! I tried both weights but would get a very similar time on the 0-60. i need to know exactly how to calibrate this g-tech to my car. any advice and info will be appreciated, if i get ANY!
thanks.
thanks.
the 4400 is the max (gross?) weight of the car with 5 people and luggage etc. the ~3400 LB curb weight is the car alone .
As far as the GTECH, I have no clue, but 2.7 seems like a good estimate based on those two examples. I would probbably have used 2.5, but that is only becaue it is what I'd like to believe (my 6mt is closer to an M3 than a Taurus)

thanks for replying. you have eased my mind from telling me which weight is which. i had a heart attack yesterday when he told me my car weighed 4400 lbs. wow. haha. i still doubt if i have it set up right. it was my 5-6th time actually slipping and trying to get a 0-60. its my first MT car too. i got a 5.9. maybe i got lucky =??
when you adding your vehicle weight dont forget your body weight and the weight of your fuel.. Gasoline weighs (rounded off) @ 6.25 lbs per gallon. The weight offered by Infiniti does not include fuel..

oh i didn't know that about the weight of the tank. thank you very much! I would give you some +rep but i dont know how to
so i set the pitch to about 2.4 and i put in the correct weight of my car with the fuel and me inside of it. i dont think this g-tech is very accurate. i think i just wasted money i could have spent on something actually useful. i keep running 0-60mph and i get a 5.9, 5.0, and a 5.4. i know for sure that these times are incorrect. ESPECIALLY if i'm running it because it was my first few times learning how to get out of the whole quick to race. i put in the right specifications into the g-tech and everything keeps coming out wrong. man, this sucks. anyone have any ideas of what i might be doing wrong?
