Question clutch feeling

I just got an '05 sedan 6sp. The clutch feels a bit funny to me. I feel something like a grind when rev-ing the engine while shifting. I used to have a '98 Type R and had the hydrolic clutch in that car, but never felt anything when shifting and rev-ing. Anyone else have this or is this normal??

Can't say that I have had that same experience with my 04. My brother has an 05 coupe and I've noticed that the clutch pedal is lighter than my 04. I've never had the gears grind unless I didn't fully engage the clutch and I ride my G fairly hard at times. Sorry I couldn't offer you some sound advice or assistance.

it may not be a "grinding" exactly, but it's like you can feel the rev a bit.

I know what you are talking about. It is not grinding. The manual on the G is just well a little less than refined. You FEEL what's going on more than usual on these cars, i.e. the shifter vibration, the revving through the clutch, etc.... I'm sure it is quite a change for you coming from an Acura, which usually make some of the smoothest manuals out there. It is even quite a difference from my Mitsu Eclipse. Just wanted to let you know that nothing is wrong and it is something you will get used to.

yep, normal

I don't own a G35, but I've logged lots of hours in the 6mt's. That's a feeling that I don't like, but that's what you get. You're basically feeling the workings of the transmission. Some love it. I don't.

Downtown, I have similar feelings. I don't hate it, but I definitely don't love it. I actually think it is somewhat out of place on such a smooth car. The smooth perception is lost the minute you step on the clutch or grab the shifter. However, the more I drive it, the less I notice it....

Yes its a kind of vibration in the clutch while shifting at higher rpm generally above 5000. I had raised this earlier and believe thats normal

I agree, the clutches are very sensitive to vibrations. This is the only car I have ever owned that transmits windshield wiper vibrations through the clutch pedal!

vibration on clutch pedal

Test drove a 04 6MT and never driven one noticed a weird vibration when your barely giving the pedal any pressure. like about 2 inches from full out I got this vibration through all gears and even in neutral with revving engine. So Is this normal? Im thinking its the flywheel but ask your help cause Im shopping for a 6MT thanks guys. It is a single owner according to carfax no maint records (dealer) no accidents. Ran solid dealer wants $10999 and it has 131K miles. Keep in mind, I've been looking for a 6MT and they dont last long our here in SoCalif.

Mines does it too. You can feel the trans rotating through the pedal.

Thanks Guys. I filled out an app for a loan and will find out tomorrow morning if I end up with her. Im not crazy about the price for all the miles it has but being a one owner car means alot when buying a used car. Its just so rare now a days cause many others I've looked at have at least 3 or more. Thats why this dealer is not budging on his price. Its pretty clean but I wish it had the rear spoiler.
