Tein H-Techs Issues: Rubbing How to get Rid

I just had my srpings installed yest. I LOVE them my gf's who never seem to notice anything about my car even comments how it now glides and takes turns much faster.

There are two issues now however:
Thats must have been the fastest settle in of all time because the rear is low now in back after being perfect yest. The front is perfect no problem
nice look everything, The rear looks nice but i noticed this morning that when I have 2 people in the back seat I am rubbing. I just attributed that to 2 nice sides adults in the back, Well I went to go ang get some gas and filled the tank... rubbing again. Now I realyy dont wanna go around with a quarter tank of gas in the car so what are my options.

1. I have heard of "rolling the fenders" what is that and where can I get it done?
2.With the 18 in coupe rims, the back gap was always perfect to me, What can it hurt if i were to run the stock spings in back and just harden the sway bar since the h-techs are essentially about equal to the stock srpings in ride quality? its there any reasy to absolutely stay away from mixed springs.

Thanks.

You can get your rear fenders rolled at most wheel shops. I really don't know how much they charge. When I got my rear fender rolled on my previous car which was 02' TL-S it was done at the shope where I got my wheels so they rolled it for free.

Did you get the H-Techs for the sedan? And do you have the sport suspension? If you did then that could be the problem. The spring rates of the sedan H-techs are lower than the stock sport springs.

Stock spring rates front/rear 314/342
Sedan H-Techs front/rear 324/263

Add the softer rear rates, heavier adults in the back, and a full tank of gas and rubbing might be an issue. My suggestion personally would be to get the H-techs meant for the Nissan 350Z (358/375) if you have the stock sport shocks. Better yet pair those springs with the Tokico D-Specs or the Koni Yellows which give much better dampening control.

I have a Sedan with the H tech springs and a sport suspension. Yes they are the Htechs for the sedan I do have the premium struts sitting in the garage but i really dont wanna have to go back to those. I did a lot of reading and this is the first time I remember seeing the H-Tech/sport suspension problem. What would it hurt if i switched back to the stock spring in the back only?

As I have bene reading I see that the 350 z springs OEM or HTech in the rear may be a better fit for me?

The rear OEM 350Z springs? That wouldn't be a bad idea. Much better spring rate at 342.

That's weird that you're rubbing w/stock 18's on. I had a similar problem when I put S-Tech on my '03 Sedan. The front was perfect but the rear was a lot lower than I expected and it was rubbing but I have 20 x 8.5 all around. What I did was keep the front S-Techs (i like the lower look in the front) and changed the rear springs to H-Techs and the rubbing is mostly gone. It still rubs sometimes when the car is loaded and I'm taking a curve but otherwise is fine.

With the stock 18 coupe rims the offset isnt made to fit our fender wells as it does on the coupe (deeper fenders on the coupe). Its very close if not almost right out to edge of the fender.

Its really close and with 245/45 on the rears its even closer

I havent lowered mine yet but see how rubbing could be/should be a consideration when lowering with coupe rims on. I am also looking at who can cut/roll my rear fenders before I go with a set of Tein CS coilovers to drop it down a bit.

Pics of my setup....see the closeness.........but me likey

I have 350z suspension setup and 18" 350z track rims 245/45/18 in the rear (18X8.5) should be the same as the 18" coupe in size. What worked for me was to dial rear camber to -1.3 and woalla, no rubbing issues whatsoever. Even the stock coupe rear camber measurements are -1.5 with 0.5 tolerance, so you can go down to -2 degrees no problem! Tire wear becomes the only concern, thats why i'm leaving mine at -1.3

In case you did not know, rear camber on our cars are adjustable, stock.

Good luck!

Anyone with the Sedan H Tech...

I just put mine on but every time i hit a bump, there is a rattling noise coming from the front. All the bolts and nuts were torqued to OEM spec but I didn't cut the bumpstop. Would this be making a "plastic-like" rattling noise?
