Windshield Wipers

Any notice that the wipers (G35 Sedan) operate fast? Can the dealer slow them down? Is it possible?

Re: Windshield Wipers

What do mean by fast? You can select the speed or use the stock pre-sets.

Re: Windshield Wipers

They're essentially fully adjustable from 2 passes per second to 10 seconds between each pass... Now, my LEFT wiper tends to vibrate when doing down, which gets annoying... when it's wet enough, it's fine, but otherwise it's as if it's pressing down a little too hard...

Re: Windshield Wipers

Something not many know is that these wipers are speed sensitive. As your speed increases then so does the wiper speed.(in intermitant mode). Neat stuff........

Re: Windshield Wipers

I'm talking about the stock pre-set. I know you can adjust the speed when in the intermittent mode. I just think they operate fast in the pre-set mode. The vibration is also annoying. I don't think it has anything to do with the window not being wet enough because I get the vibration when in intermittent mode where the water has a chance to build up. I think it has to do with the speed. I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone else noticed this. If this is my only gripe about the G, we should all be proud to own such a fine automobile.

Re: Windshield Wipers

I would rather the stock pre-sets be fast than slow, personally. If the pre-set is too fast, use the intermittent setting.

Vibration is another issue though, my old car did that and it was annoying. My G35 doesn't have that problem so far, though. You might want to just replace the wiper blades and see if the problem goes away.

I had the windshield wiper "judder" problem but was not aware of the TSB at the time. I replaced the blades with the Bosch tri-blade and the problem disappeard so far.
