Production figures for 6MT's ??
I know, I know, the "search" function is my friend ....
But, I haven't been able to locate the actual production figures for the number of 6Mt's produced in 2003, and in 2004. Anybody have them ??
When I went looking for a 6MT in late 2003, they told me Infiniti had committed to only 700 6MT's for that year (2003), and had planned a similar number for 2004. Wondering what the actual production figures were, breakdown of total G35 sedan, then total 6Mt's.
Seems like there are a lot more 6MT's for 2005 than in prior years - or maybe it's just that the 6MT owners are more likely to post on the G35 websites because they are more "performance oriented" than the average "G" driver, so are more likely to be involved in forums, etc. ??
Input appreciated ....

I asked the question a long time ago...
It may in fact be true that nobody has the real production info. I searched for info in the past of breakdown of AWD, vs RWD vs coupe, vs Sedan and found nothing.
All i see are vague percentage breakdowns of 6MT vs Automatic. 10% or so, but 10% of what? Also, every time i see the number tossed around, the number gets lower. 700 in a year is the lowest i've ever seen yet.
EDIT: did some google searching and found this

I always thought/understood that the G line started off as a AUTO RWD sedan the first 6 months or so it was introduced. (reason why the 2003 doggy doors have a maxima like ECU) Then it sent out the others... like in 04 was intro AWD. maybe 2003.5 was manual trans and coupes. But i would believe that 700 manual were offered in 2003.
like all cars and everyone said here its about a 10-18% manual option on normal cars. This is based off of what sells in the states.

I started my used 6mt sedan search in Oct 09. It took me exactly one year of relentless searching to find the exact model I wanted, as I prefer the 03/04 sheetmetal. Despite being willing to travel over 1000 miles, after a year of failed attempts I finally located a suitable car very close to me in jersey. I got to the dealer late and had to smooth talk the guard to open the gate and let me onto the lot because they were already closed. When I saw the blk/blk 6mt with factory navi I swear I was thinking 'this is destiny'. With 97k miles the car was old, and the dealer refused to let me test drive it!!!!WTF!!!But the yellowed headlights and straight body panels told me the car was never crashed and that was all I needed. Everything else could be replaced if required..In the past 8 months I spent 5k on maintence and repairs. The car needs another 3k in sheduled/preventative maintenance. That being said, I could not be happier. I can afford a much more expensive car but I know this car is very rare and consider myself lucky to own it. After reading the prior posts I feel even better about my decision. These 6mt sedans are rare indeed, but they are worth the extra effort to find one.
