Did any one drop their G35X

I have 245/35ZR20 on my G, I would like to drop the front 3/4" and the back about 1/2 inch. Any comment or if you did please reply.

Ummm... You could try a search -- even on my name if you like...

I have done extensive research on this subject and while many will not agree, fankly you cannot properly lower an x. When I say "properly" I mean utilizing proven, engineered components...

Eibach will not be making G35x specific springs... They owe me a set of springs just for the number of times I called hounding them about springs for the x.

Feel free to use the RWD springs -- you will have to cut the front strut stops... Again -- search and draw your own opinon. I refuse to go this route and the couple of guys at Eibach who have been great with information crack up when I mention this approach...

So the latest idea is a set of FX35 front springs (same chassis and suspension engineering and weight is "comparable") with RWD 35 rear springs... I still haven't been able to get a response to this one...

I have waited and waited for a lowering remedy before purchasing new wheels... After seeing a number of sedans (and coupes) with both 18" and 19" shoes without being lowered, this is my preferred route.

I will maintain most of the ride quality without a rigged lowering alterative (at least at this point...)... Once something is ready, I stand prepared to install...

Flame suit on...

yeah u cant really drop an x, it ruins the whole point of having awd and prob makes it sloppy ride. Thats like wasting ur money on an AWD car. If u want the look of being dropped just get 19's and BAM there u go, it looks like it was dropped =]

Since I've thrown my 19" on I am not nearly as fired up about a drop as I was. I even took the impending plan out of my sig. Getting lots of looks with the new set up and nobody says "just drop that thing". I think the trick is to put 40 series on. Better ride now too.

I don't have access to the photos today (and I intend to take some better ones as soon as the day it doesn't rain and the day I have the camera with me are one and the same) but there are some early photos in this thread.

The other option is to do a search on '245/40/19' and you'll find out who has the same setup.

Big Daddy...your setup definitely looks awesome and looks lowered. However, how much did it cost you though? 3,000 + ?

your not ruining the whole point of having AWD. it will likely change the ride but not sure what you mean by sloppy. The only problem I see is maybe losing clearance for some snow mounds but I don’t see how it will sacrifice any other AWD capabilities.

Im lowering my x next month. Im using the eibach pro-kit that I purchased from ekaz.

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/35318-has-anyone-lowered-g35x.html (this thread has some before and after heights from an eibach pro-kit on a x)
