I'm curious about what the 05 sports package 18's would look like painted or powder coated white on an IP sedan. I have a feeling it would look aweful, but I've seen a few cars around town with white rims. Admittedly, they're typically civics, and they're red or blue, but I'm still curious.

If nobody's got the time for the photoshop work, anyone recommend a site with some white wheels? I've not found any on tirerack; maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.

Glad this is the sedan forum. If you posted that in the coupe forum, easily 50% would be like "wtf is miami vice?"

 

I don't know if having white rims will make the car any harder to clean. We have an 04, and that think just vommits the brake dust. The 05, however, is quite a bit better; night and day.

And I don't know when the last time you were out in Bessemer, but it's not exactly country anymore. It's more 'hood though. My wife's from out there and if she see's what I just said she's gonna freak.

 

i have to disagree with both of you about white wheels looking aweful. i think it would look awful. lol. i suck at spelling too. . it must be the good night sleep i had.

there are other options of wheel finishes that would look good on your IP. i have a 18 inch wheel on my car that looks alot like the 05 wheel with a little more art i guess you could say. its a GLM finish but when clean they look almost white.

white wheels belong on a chicks white civic unless they are those cool SSR Competition ones.

Here's the real question: Are you a Testarossa or Daytona man? I always thought the white Testarossa went better with the pastel suits, but that black Daytona was just a mean, mean car. Not as mean as those lowered, whited-out Mercedes sedans the bad guys drove around in though. The second one of those came into frame you knew at least two Uzis weren't far behind.

Yeah, me too. Those 500SEL AMGs looked pretty sweet with white wheels. The fake Datona was cooler, though at least the Testarossa was real-

I'd go M5 color on the OEM 18 G wheels with a white car.

By the way, I never gave you an opinion on the white wheels. I don't have a Photoshop for you, but in my head I can look at my IP sedan with whited-out sport wheels and say to you this: No go. Nope. Huh-uh. You would've been the man 20 years ago in Dade County though.

Someone in the coupe forum blacked-out his 19" sport wheels and posted pics a while back. They looked really good I thought, much better than I expected. Another guy tried to gunmetal his 17" sedan wheels recently and posted pics. That experiment was much less successful.

And finally: Lip, I agree with you about the fake Daytona versus the real Testarossa, although they had a really bad-looking fake Testy for the chase scenes. Looked like a Fiero with a body kit. And here's the really sad truth about the coupe forum: If any of those guys are reading this, they're scratching their heads right now and asking themselves, "They had a Dodge on that show? Who gives a crap? And what the hell is a Testarossa? A Fiero I know. That's like a Camaro but with a screaming chicken on the hood, right?"
