Just curious...is your wife's car lowered?

I know sport tires (soft rubber) only usally last around 20,000 miles before you have to get new tires. Unless there All Season Tires odds are you will only get 20,000 miles out of them.

But then again it could just be a alignment issue

I have 12750 miles on my G and was thinking about performing a rotate and balance this weekend, even though I'm not having and problems.... preventative maintenance to even the wear on the front and rear tires. Thanks for the tip, I'll look for uneven wear this weekend.

Are you doing the balance yourself?

Balance...who me? No way...I normally go to Firestone and purchase a lifetime balance and rotation package. I then drop my car off every 5K or so...this normally extends the life of the tires as well as ensure a smooth ride and even wear throughout the tires' lifetime. I got 70K miles on my last set on my old car, an Altima, the tires were rated at 40K. Even with 75% highway miles, 70K on a set of tires is incredible.
