And neither the G35 nor the Altima is in the same class as the TL audio-wise. The 6MT '05 TL I test-drove had an absolutely brilliant sound system. Made both Nissan products sound like they were mono systems ten feet underwater.
All that being said, I didn't buy the G35 to listen to the stereo. I bought it so I could drive a relatively quick, good-handling four-door sedan that had the power going to the right end. Other than the upgraded interior for '05, no other characteristcs were much of a factor.

You have to take off the whole battery cover and look toward the firewall. Please refer to a post by DaveO :https://g35driver.com/forums/showpos...6&postcount=25
The entire thread is: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...t=Hot+air+cool
The 1st link will give you a larger view.
Do you now see the intake plenum behind the battery? If you dont believe me check your own car.

Intake plenum is a the wrong choice of words for the what is the HVAC inlet port. The intake plenum is the big silver piece of aluminum that is bolted on top of your motor that is covered by the plastic trim piece.
My original post was: https://g35driver.com/forums/showpos...0&postcount=46. I said nothing about intake plenum in the original post but your response knocked down my post right away. Let me rephrase - "What was Infiniti thinking when they placed the battery next to the firewall right in front of the cabin air intake duct".

It's okay I can turn my own wipers on.
