As I read the "5 best little things" post, I decided to go test drive again, and look for my single favorite thing about it.

It hit me as I turned out of the dealership! I've thought it all along, but it finally hit me, and I know why I keep coming back to the G.

I've driven the 6MT several times now. I'm just cheap, and I haven't decided yet what to do, the increased gas prices have also caused me to wait.

Anyway the single best thing about the car to me is the way the hood looks from the drivers seat. Those front fenders framing in the car are just awesome looking! The sport suspension package truly gives it a porsche' 911 touch, and that makes those fenders look even meaner, especially when you push it through the turns. I dunno, the fenders just do it for me, they connect me to the car!

Definitely the best visual aspect of the car IMO. They better keep that look!

By the way, they had one of those royal blue coupe in the show room. Wow, what a beatiful color!

I bought my G35 about a month ago from North Houston Infiniti and love every minute of driving it. To keep the cost down, you can do what I did and find a 6mt without any options. Hopefully, gas will go down soon. If not, oh well. I rather spend more money driving something fun, than less in a boring car. If you don't mind me asking, what dealers are you visiting and what kind of deals are they quoting you? Now might be the best time to buy since 06's are right around the corner.

Southwest Infiniti. It's been a little while, since I got an official quote.

Fortunately for me I get vpp through my company, so that should help, if I pull the trigger.

I'm w/ you on having fun driving, that's why I'm considering it in the G in the first place. But $100/Barrel of oil is a realistic possibility next year, and then you be paying $75 a week or so to drive your car This $100/barrel prediction came from the same guy who said it would it $60 this summer.

The main reason for my original post though was regarding the driver's seat view of the sweet fenders. No responses yet?

That I don't doubt...we'll be seeing $4/gallon easy by next year unfortunately. I do some sector analysis as my field..and the possibility of it happening is greater than not happening which saddens me. I hate to have to take into consideration of the gas price to driving my car..but oh well.

Oh and don't feel bad about going in for several test drive..I went into the same dealership and test drove the same car about 3x's in a matter of a week...the salesperson knew he had me at hello!!

Great - you've got a hardon for fenders. What sort of response are you looking for ? Do you want someone to drop off a set for you? Of course we like them - they are part and parcel of a car we love to own. See that part........."love to own". You've been sniffing around so long that your original quotes gone stale. You're worried about $100 barrels of oil? Well, think of all the driving you could have done already at less than half that.

Just buy the flippin' car already and stop strokin over it.

DT, you crack me up ... just buy this damn car!

Just kidding, of course do whatever you want. I like that you're financially conservative, and your constant G-drooling reminds us all of ourselves before we took the plunge.

The good news about the G sedan is that it's not some sort of impractical splurge like a 2 seater convertible. For just a few bucks more, it's just as practical as an Accord or Camry, but with the added benefit of true love every time you see it and drive it. Just my .02
