need advice
hello. i was wondering if i can get some advice from people who has had experience with parking their cars. (i dont mean parking on the street, i mean parking it where it's not driven, lol) i'm parking my G for about 1-2 months. i've been having tooooooooo much bad luck on my hands. i dont want to take the chance of me fvcking it up to the point where its totaled. anyway... i parked it in the garage so the sun doesn't ruin the paint. i'm going to drive it once a month for like 5-10 minutes. should i drive it hard or normal? is there anything else i need to do while having it sit there? any information thrown my way would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Honestly I don't have much to offer as advice but I have to say that I don't understand the concept here. I am sure you have your reasons but is it really worth it? I wouldn't think it was worth it to park my car as you describe - I would just get rid of the car if I were going to have it parked for any length of time over a couple months. Hope things improve for you either way and hope someone can give you sound advice as to what to do to help your car out.
5 or 10 minutes driving is not enough! Might even do more harm than good. You need to drive it long enough for the engine to heat up enough to evaporate the condensation from the crankcase, and for all fluids to get to operating temp. 30 - 45 minutes, including some highway speeds might do it. I don`t even want to guess what kind of bad luck would drive you to this extreme action!
My dad does with his Vette for the winter. Put the cars tires on plywood (he says it helps prevent flat spots), change oil, disconnect the battery, put stable in the gas tank. Then DO NOT drive it at all until your ready to have a nice long (100 + miles) drive with it to slowly bring it back to life. Hope this helps.

If it's only a month or two, just disconnect the battery. You shouldn't need fuel stabilizer unless it sits longer.
I'm curious, too - what kind of bad luck is making you hide out?

Generaly a good practice, but......
FWIW
I'd check with Infiniti on this first. (or search)
I recall seeing a thread, that it was not recommended for our fuel systems.

If your gonna leave it for 1-2 months, i would first go get an oil change, then drive it until the gas tank is a little under 1/4 tank so there's not too much gas sitting in the tank over your long period of sitting. I would start the car atleast twice a week and let it run until it gets hot, maybe drive it around the block or something like that, hence the little less than the 1/4 tank cuz you dont wanna run outta gas. This will also prevent the tires from getting flat spots. my $.02
