looking to lower my 05 g35 sedan while keeping close to stock ride quality

Hi

i recently traded my tl for an 05 non-sport g35 sedan and am looking to lower it while keeping close to stock ride quality. i've searched but havent found the answer im looking for . seems everyone is looking to stiffen up the suspension for performance reasons, whereas im just looking to lower the car (preferably 1 or 2 finger wheel gap) and keep it comfortable. any suggestions? there are so many combinations of 350z, g35coupe, and g35sedan suspensions to choose from. G35sedan's thread was very informative, but im not too keen on converting spring rates to comfort levels. TIA for any help/suggestions.

if im not making sense, let me know.

I have the HKS Hipermax LS coilovers on my '03 sedan. This replaced the sport package suspension. The ride was VERY close to stock, being a tad stiffer. It lowered my car 1.5" but the ride height is adjustable.

.5" drop g35 coupe regular or sport (2005)
1" drop 350Z (recommend 04 0r 05)

Make sure to get the shocks and springs. OE ride with a lowered stance.

I would like to do this next summer also. 05 coupe springs/struts are at the top of my list. The tanabe are my second choice.

im think im pretty set on koni's for shocks. i've used them in the past and was able to have a VERY low accord wagon while retaining a stock, if not softer, more comfortable ride. any suggestions on springs to pair with konis? do the 350z/g35 konis have adjustable height perches like most other konis do?

I've got the Eibach Pro kit and I am happy with it, I've heard good things about the Tein "H" Techs...

I don't know of any way to lower the car without "any" effects to the ride and ride quality. I went the 350Z spring route and love it. Probably the closest you will get to what you want. It really is a nice overall improvement and I love the new stance and ride quality. Very good mod for what you want to do.

My "2 cents"

My 03 sedan Sport has the G coupe springs and oddly, the ride actually improved? The drop in the front is around .6" and the drop in the rear is closer to .8". The old "finger" count is three finger gap in the front and just over a one finger gap in the rear. When I'm in the car (I'm 180lbs), the ride height at all four corners drops .5" in the front and .3" in the back. Yeah, I know I'm retared for taking all the measurements

If you don't have the Sport package and you want to go lower than Coupe springs, you really need to get either the 350Z struts (shortened body) or get Koni's. IMO, if you're going to get struts, Koni's are the only way to go. You pay more, but you get one the best struts out there. I had three different makes of aftermarket struts on my old Maxima and the Koni's were by far the best. They offered the best ride and handling. Don't skimp out on struts. They're the only thing that controls the movement of your springs.
