Well, as many of you know, I wrecked my G back a few months ago. Finally, I'm ok enough to get out and about, so I decided to go out and get me a new car. The first place I went to was my Infiniti dealer to get me another G. They didn't have any on the lot that they could sell me, and I really didn't fell like ordering one that day. So I came home and threw around the idea of getting something else.

A buddy of mine called me up and told me to come look at the new SRT at the Dodge dealer. I automatically figured he wanted me to go look at the new Viper, so I cruised on over there to take a peak. Well, it wasn't a Viper. It's the new SRT-4. I took it for a test drive. When I got back, I left the car running. I took out my check book and wrote them a check.

As a hard core G35 guy, I now drive a Dodge SRT-4. I'm still planning on getting another G, but for the meantime, this is me. Think about it! You can't beat the performance for the price! $20K gets you 0-60 in 5.6 and 1/4 mile in 14 flat. I paid almost $36K for my G. After dumping nearly $2500 more, I got it (the G) in the high 13's.

So, anyone in the Houma/New Orleans, LA area sees a bright YELLOW SRT-4 running around, chances are, it's me. I'll post a pic soon.

If you're happy then it's all good. I personally wouldn't go that route as I am seeking much more than just performance. We are talking about you and your money, however. Enjoy the heck out of your new car.

 

I know the performance is there.. but after the wreck you had, I'd have figured you wouldn't want a smaller car.

I have driven them and I can tell you from actual behind the wheel experience that the Neon is a cruddy little shitbox that is better off going slow.... there is something to be said for what is around the engine... sure the engine sounds nice but god ... wrong wheel drive and it's a NEON... can't believe you did that... but good luck!

The car has tons of potential to be in the 300+hp range, but I don't know how many looks and awards you are gonna get at the shows. It takes so much for people just to give a glance to show cars now-a-days and the SRT-4 may not help much either.

It is your choice and your money so there should be no hard feelings from this forum, whatever floats your boat dude. Just be sure to tell ur fine lookin ladies that I still drive my G35. haha!! j/k

Personally, I hate domestic cars...I would never drive one unless they're no imports left in this world, u know what i mean!! Domestic sucks yo...

 

You know, not all domestics suck, and not all imports are rosy-fresh.

Cadillac has hit the ground running with the CTS. They're a little behind, but they're catching up. All Lincoln has to do is make a stick available with the V8 version of the LS.

I personally wouldn't mind an SVT Stang, a Z06, or the new Viper. Not all domestics suck. Don't knock it, until you've tried it first hand.
