Bump. Anybody know about whether the Smart Key or keyless start system is available in the sedan or not?
I ordered a black on black from Southern Cali, I'm in the Bay Area. It came in today and there is NO keyless start and this car is fully loaded.
I need to know ASAP.

the smart key that comes with the premium package does not have auto start feature if thats what ur thinking. all it does is give u the advantage of not having to take your car keys out to open or turn on your car. there is no auto start feature related to it.

Actually, I was just inquiring about which models has it.
I finally got a dealer to answer my question, and the answer is no, it is not available on the 05 6MT. For 05 models, it's only available on automatics. But for 06, it will be available with the 6MT.

If they have indeed made this change for 06 then that would be a huge factor! I would almost be willing to swap my auto for a 6 speed if the 6 speed had the smart key. As for the auto start, the G35 auto doesn’t have a start button but you don’t have to put the key in the ignition so it is basically the same thing.

Most alarm shops won't even do it, unless of course you're willing to sign a waiver, and besides it's illegal in some states because they have to bypass the clutch.
I was referring to the smart key or the RFID key.
As for the auto start, I have seen people install it on a 6mt, but it only works if the car is in netural. There was a thread about the auto start feature in the coupe forum a couple weeks ago.

OK, so now I know the 05 6MT sedan doesn't have RFID. I'm wondering if I can add the RFID myself? And I'm also curious about how alarms work with it.
As for the alarm and autostart on a manual car, most shops who will install it will put in an override so you won't be able to autostart the car when it's in gear. But I'm not sure about what cars can work like that, I just know that it's doable on Hondas. As for how many shops know how to do that, I don't know...
