Starting to feel a little remorse... :(

I have found the G quality to be very good. This is my third Infiniti (G20 and later I30) and they all have been dependable. The dealer should fix these problems. If the only problem I had with other makes were rattles, I would have been thrilled. I have a 2002 Subaru LL Bean (wagon) and although the 250 HP is close to mine, the handling is very different (not as good or as fun) and the interior for me is much less comfortable and inviting. The cost difference between that car then and the Gwhen I bought it was suprisingly little. I think the G35x was the better bargain. I hope your rattles are fixed quickly and well. I noted the navigation thread and I hope that gets sorted out too (I don't have nav). Good luck.
Pardon my ignorance, but on the maxima board, most of these squeaks and rattles were normally taken care of by the owners, with technical papers from the board and a little dynamat. Can't we as a group also identify the fixes to these minor, non-mechanical issues? just wondering

I have an impossible schedule and the closest Infiniti dealership is an hour away but I wanted an entry level luxury car that would be reliable and have the fewest warranty trips possible to the dealership since most luxury dealerships (minus BMW) are far away.
Right now I have rattles in both rear doors, an annoying vibration in my rear speakers when music is louder than level 12 and rattles in the center stack and passenger side dash. I contacted the Infiniti dealership closest to my home and left a message requesting a service appointment two weeks ago and still haven't received a call back yet. So much for the top dealership in the tri-state area.
On top of all this, I keep reading about rotor and brake pad problems which I don't know if it applies to the 05 model but at 8,000 miles, I'm not looking forward to finding out. And the last annoyance is the amazingly inaccurate navigation system. I bought it because I needed to use a navigation system frequently and I'd only estimate it is accurate 65% of the time and the interface is not very intuitive.
On the bright side, the car looks great inside and out, the engine power is phenomenal and the AWD seems to work pretty well (only driven in rain so far) although the traction control seems a little spastic during dry weather.
This is my first brand new car so I apologize if I seem really impossible with the car but I expected something better from a "luxury" brand like Infiniti. Am I the only one who feels this way or are there others in the same boat? Thankfully I leased the car so I could always try to sell the lease on SwapALease.com but it's going to cost $1150 for the "Peace of Mind" program and listing fees!

I own a 2003 G35 sedan and love the car... ferocious acceleration, great handling, reliable ... but it ain't no "luxury" car. I like to call it a sports sedan with ***** ! No, I wouldn't call it luxury because it has leather seats or all the other crap that contributes nothing to performance.
It has one hella engine and the go to bring a smlie to your face.
If you are going into the purchase of a G35 thinking "luxury" you will be dissapointed. There is too much superior competition out there.
Take it for what it is, a kick-*** sedan with low 6's from the land of the rising sun .. enjoy it ! I do ......
