Nice Loaner Car
Nice Loaner Car
[FONT=Verdana]I usually do all of the minor service such as oil changes and tire rotations on my '04 G35 myself. I was in the business for years and still like to get my hands dirty occasionally. Lately I have been under the weather and since I got a sale flyer in the mail from Infiniti of Gwinnett in Duluth GA offering an oil change and car wash for $29.95, I said why not.
We made the appointment and took the car in. Since my wife has been complaining about a rattle in the driver's door speaker and another from the rear view mirror, they offered a loaner so that we would not have to wait around. Thank you, I will take the loaner. We walked outside with the key to an '05 Q45 with only 515 miles on it. Wow, what a deal.
If you have not driven one of these...........DON'T!! That is unless you have lotsa bucks and want to trade up. What a nice car. In "Sport" suspension mode, it rode and handled very nicely. Regular mode was too soft for me.
The drivers seat was perfect. Big, comfy and yet supportive. Not the piece of crap they call a seat in the G. This car had so many bells and whistles that it could take a person weeks to learn how to use all of them, especially the NAV system. Strong engine, quiet, pretty, very plush.......What's not to like??
Too bad the car comes with a 60k price tag.

Now, when they redesign the car around the design cues of the G and M, I think we'll have a winner. As it is, in my book there's no comparison between the 7-series and the Q. Or the LS430 and the Q. The RL is equally tepid.

Ahhhhhhh, those toys and amenities.
C.
Gsedan is right. The M is a better car. I was disappointment witht the rear seat leg room in the Q.
It almost seems that the M and the Q are fighting for the same buyer. Both of these cars are competing for the E-class and 5 Series buyer.
Infiniti needs to upscale the Q, or drop it. I think dropping it would be the better option.
