Hey Guys,

I apologize if this has been asked already (I'm new to the forums), but does anyone know if their is a noticable difference in terms of performance (pull, handling, etc.). between the auto sedan and the auto coupe. If they were lined up next to each other what would the outcome be.

Now I know it depends on the driver (a little bit) and modifications, but I'm just curious. Stock vs Stock who wins?

Its been asked many times. Straightline = equal. Handling, Coupe > Sedan due to lower center of gravity, and bigger, grippier tires. Ride, Sedan > coupe. Differences are slight in each case and the driver will be the biggest factor.

funny how the sedan weighs less yet looks heavier. Where do you suppose the weight difference comes from? Smaller wheels and tires?

Yeah, kind of like those Celica commercials about the car looking fast.

No doubt..I still can see the look on the guys face who I raced a 350 at Englishtown after I toasted him by half a second and pulled hard on him after he lauched first. People who have so little to hang thier hat on often find themselves wanting.

Speed is cheap now and since i bought in 2003, there's just too many quality fast cars coming out to have any chance of feeling good about yourself because you are faster than anyone. A neon can beat a G coupe so why quibble over .1 seconds or whatever. Pick a better reason to differentiate. If you need fast, a mustang GT, or hell, the new GTR will smoke a coupe or sedan. An ECU reset or a little bit less gas is the difference between a sedan and coupe running faster than the other on any given day. Apparently the new Toyota v-6 3.5 is the 6 to own, this week anyway.

the x wasn't mentioned until 2 posts ago... i just think he didn't want to appear incorrect. no worries. it's a common misconception. but like stated above, a full tank of fuel (+100lbs) and it's a different race.
