I just went to MTI's site:

http://www.motorsporttech.com/

The fastest LS1 they have on there is Stephen Sanders. A very well known and well liked guy on LS1tech. He used to go by the name Colonel on the board. He is the only one in the 9's, and he is a stroker motor. Also an auto, what a surprise.........

The only MT in the 10's (10.5) is Dennis Jason's, who has a 422 ci stroker, combined with NOS!! And I doubt he's cutting 1.3x.......

So who is this guy doing 1.3x MT 60', and what is he running ET? MTI doesn't list him........

First of all, yes I am trolling. I just noticed something in this thread.

Second, I think you guys are underestimating the power the STI has. And not once did I see anything about WEIGHT!

I believe the STI is around 3100-3200lbs stock. I weighed my 02 WRX when it was stock and it was 3075 with me adjusted out and 3/4 a tank of gas.

Any STI with even mild mods should easily be in the 260 whp range. There are so many variables, and from a roll AWD isn't as much a hinderance as some would make you believe.

I my WRX is now in at 230whp and I pulled multiple carlengths on a G35X from a roll....and trust me, the guy was trying to not let me into his lane.

The STI weighs 3351 lb. That is heavy for a small car.

AWD sucks the power out of the car getting it to the ground. It doesn't matter if its a roll or a stop. It's still putting less power down to the ground.

The STI is mid 3200 at most, I know of multiple people when I was living in Toronto who tracked their cars and not a one weighed in over 3300lbs.

When you consider it runs a 2.5 litre motor, larger wheels and tires, AWD, it is reasonable. Not light, but reasonable
The G35 is around 3500-3650 for a sedan as far as I know. Even if AWD is eating more power you still have to move an extra 200-300 pounds to accelerate.

I would also be curious to see ballpark WHP comparison between and STI and a 300hp coupe, I have a hard time seeing them more than 5% apart.

No SIR. I pulled the data off edmunds.com which pulls it from the manufacture. It weighs what I put down not what you are making up.

"LOL", you like to throw that acronym (do you know what an acronym is??) around, and that's fine..........

I STILL want to see your imaginary friend's 1.3x MT 60'.

Show it, or admit defeat.....I've given you pics, stats, etc. Give me SOMETHING to show me you're for real.......

So again how is the STI faster? TRAP SPEED MEANS EVERYTHING IN A DRAG RACE. IT shows which one is the faster car not the actual 1/4 time.

Autos are only good because you usually can get the same times over and over again and they don't require as much skill. 6mts will always be the faster car if the driver is good.

One question, HAVE you taken your G35 to the track? If not, then please EOD right now.
Trap speed does not mean everything. The quarter mile is won by time, NOT mph. The STI is faster. Period.

OK, you're last link was worthless, just like your others, but that's ok.

You are completely useless to this thread and to society. Good day. And enjoy your life, if that's humanely possible.......

Wow Buster, you need to go back to school to learn some things about racing.

The higher the trap speed at the end of the 1/4 always shows which car is faster PERIOD.

Find some proof that tells me otherwise. Until then please stop spewing misinformation.
