Find some proof that tells me otherwise. Until then please stop spewing misinformation.

Please, stop your internal bleeding..........(let me guess, under 25 yrs old)

Am I right?

Easy man, you really need to relax.

In any 1/4 mile race the winner is crowned as the one across the line with the fastest TIME.

Just the facts. Not mis-info.

Of course, but we are talking about who has the faster car. MPH means the car is FASTER. 1/4 time means the car can get the jump out of the hole faster but its slower on the way there. So it has a chance to get pasted at the end of the 1/4.

These are weights off a site, we all know there can be a variance. I'll dig up those weights for you from the tracks.

My search on the STI forum shows they weight around 3300 lb. Not what you said. They even complained about how much more the STI weighs and asked why. Many answered.

Right and if we raced to the 1/2 mile or 1 mile...come on.

The STI runs a faster 1/4 mile time, by a good margin. It IS faster then. Even you admitted that. And the mph is pretty much the same, but that really doesn't matter if the STI gets there 1/2 a second sooner.
You are still forgetful of the power to weight. That means more than you realize. That is how a 200hp ITR is so fast, when it weighs 2600 lbs.

You know, as a new Infinity owner I am embarrassed by idiotic Infinity owners like this, and I apologize. These are largely young kids that don't deserve to own these cars, and those that do, are too stupid to know their own names (or Daddy's).

These are great cars for those that deserve them. They are not the fastest cars out there, and they certainly can't compete with STi's or Evo's in straight line acceleration, despite what some pimple heads think.

What they ARE are great cars with an incredible comprimise between performance and comfort. Really hard to beat in the 35K categiory...

LOL, wow, do you own a Infiniti? Because you don't even know how to spell it right. You are a embarrassment and now that you can't even spell it right, I would think no one would listen to you. Btw, that is right, you are new to the Infiniti / Nissan side of the G35. So please until you learn more about the car do not make misinformed comments like you have been.

Sorry but you are the idiotic owner here. You have YET to prove me wrong. I have provided ENOUGH backing to prove you and the others wrong here on multiple subjects.

If you don't think we can handle a STI, then your wrong. I proved that YET AGAIN.

I am done here. I am surprised how many idiotic people we have on this forum as of late that have no clue what they are talking about.

Thanks DP03, I appreciate your comments and view.

First, those videos mean virtually nothing, what are the mods exactly? The STI has a exhaust with a high flow cat, the 350z which I believe is 100+lbs lighter than G35 has "bolt ons", so what does that mean.

Mods, are mods....some can make a huge difference, some not so much. I am talking about stock here. I don't even know if boths cars had intake, exhaust, header if the gap would be the same, maybe the STI responds better to those mods than the G35 or maybe the other way around.

The top end is great, better than the STI, but if the drag ends at the 1/4 mile and that is where your power comes on...

Quick and fast are two different things. Quick refers to ET. Fast refers to trap speed. Take two stock 6MT G35s for example. Put slicks on one and regular street tires on the other. The G with slicks pulls a 13.6@101mph with a 1.8 60' and the G on street tires pulls a 14.1@101mph with a 2.1 60'. The G with slicks is quicker, but no faster. From a 5mph roll, there would be absolutely no difference in the way both these cars would accelerate. That's the point we're trying to make about the STi. If you take away it's AWD launch, it doesn't have the power to out muscle a 6MT G35 from a roll.

A simple search of Google reveals that the curb weight (ie wet weight) of a Subaru WR STI is 3,260-3,270lbs. The 03/04 sedans with autos weighed in at 3,340lb and the 6MTs at about 35lbs more. The coupe weighs an additional 70lbs more than the sedan. The X weighs an additional 220lbs more. The 05 G35s gained about 110-120lbs.
