G35x Vs 04 Mustang
#63
It's funny that someone made a post about a 80-145mph race and people keep quoting 1/4 mile times.
Oh that's right, the 1/4 mile time is the ONLY way to measure which car pwns another car. Forgive me.

[QUOTE=stl_ls1gto]"good job, you just beat the V6 stang with like 70 less HP than you. A GT would rock you - they run mid 13's stock."
The "Good Job" comment should go to the driver of the Mustang, since he was able to get a V6 to run 145 MPH !!! What planet do you live on that has V6 Mustangs doing that??

going straight fast dont win road races. go compare the vette to a skyline (its a G) thats more of a comparison. actually not, skyline is in a whole different league. check the 350z forums, more vette killers over there......

You should get off the keyboard and get out a bit. I can't believe you are this narrow-minded or soft to comprehend what's been said. Either way it really does'nt matter does it. Ignorance is bliss. Have a nice day Mr. Corvette/Viper killer.
read this agian, maybe it will help:
"It's not the car, it's the driver. I can assure you, having had numerous c5 corvettes among other's, and trying to compare them to my g35..... aint no comparision.
Oh yeah, I can drive. Be real guys, put the same driver in any of the cars above and the G is a loser."

exactly 2c5s, that is what I was trying to say/get across to all the G owners here. The G is a great, all around car and I look forward to my first winter with the 05 X, but you have to just take it for what it is.

Here is the list of cars that is just as fast or faster than the 'almighty G35' that you own that is faster than 95% of all the different models made. Now, I am going to post all cars that are in the 14's and lower in the quarter mile, b/c there is a range of data that G's post, along with all cars being different, with different drivers. Anything within .5 seconds is just about a drivers race anyway. All these cars are 14's and lower.

Well, as you can see by the 120+ cars models I just came up with off the top of my head, you can see that there are MANY cars that are just as fast or alot faster than the G35. Yes, alot are not very affordable or practical, but that was not part of our considerations- was it... the G35 is becoming nothing more than an average car in terms of speed - face it. While I do love my 05 G35X, dont try to make it more than it is in terms of speed. faster than 95% of car models made...hardly.

Many of those cars you have listed come with quite a hefty price tag. I don't know where you are driving...but in my neck of the woods, my car is faster than about 95% of the cars I see on the roads. I haven't run into many Enzo's lately, but I am sure I could take one if I did..
I revised your list to cars that I might see in an average week of driving. And trust me, they are not 95% of the cars on the road.

the vette, new is about what?? $55k
put the extra $20gs into the G35 and we'll see which one will be the monster on the track.
shouldnt compare a G to a vette, and to see a G spank it on a track is just SAD especially with a price tag of 20thousand lower then the vette
thats my 2cents, you have a great day guys

In the end, no matter how much you spend in mods, the g's still a g, and the vette's still a vette.

Hmmm, you can buy a clean c5 for low low 20's..... and bone stock it will still clean a g35's clock at the track. I wonder, has chicago boy ever driven on a track? Never mind, it does'nt matter, I think we all know the answer.

ahh...so you are one of the haters of all american cars, well then you obviously dont know much about them - just think that because it is made by an American company it must suck then.
g4ian, I am not the one who said that the G is faster than 95% of cars, I was responding to another person. By creating the list I was showing all the cars I could think of that were just as fast or faster than the G. I stated originally that the list was without regard to price. Many of the cars are less than $40000 like the G. If your G is truly faster than 95% of all the cars you drive around, you must live in an area with a bunch of POS slow cars.
