I started my car after work. Mind you the car was running perfect this morning. I put the car in drive and the car kicked. I drive away and the car shifted and kicked again. I look at my dash and notice that the slip light is on and the VDC is on. The speedo is not working also. I put on my signal and that was messed up it was blinking quick and slow. I didnt want to mess up the tranny to much so I tried to put it in manuel mode. That didnt work. When I apply the break with a little force the ABS would kick in. I brought it straight to Infiniti and they got some codes and are going to keep it. But the service manager said Ive been working 18 years and it looks like it might be water in the intake. We might have to go throgh insurance. But it didnt rain today while it was parked. Plus he is a service manager not a tech. Any ideas. It sucks cause I got out of work early but I ended getting home at the usual time.

sounds like a faulty wiring harness somewhere or something... water in the intake? he's smoking crack.

i live in ny and its been like driving through a monsoon the last few weeks..I think i can make a good guess and say if i didnt get water in my intake then you prob shouldnt have..it could be mud in the tire..hahaha.

 

don't let them trick you into paying for it...

 

Well I got off the phone with the service manager and he said that the ABS modual shorted out. They have to install a new one and then run tests to see if it fixes the rest of the problems. Hopefully I'll get the car on Monday.
