well what can i tell you DKhuy it isnt more with state farm
and the insurance division comes up with something called an INSURANCE RATING GROUP that is information for each particular model car and version, it looks at crash rating, resale value, safety in the car, how often the car is stolen the security system in the car, and each model gets their own IRG, and for the year 2005 the coupe has an IRG of 22 the sedan has an IRG of 23, and the 350Z has an IRG of 25(cheapest, depends on version goes as high as 28) in the years prior to 2005 the coupe was more but not this 2005 year

How come my Miata is much cheaper to insure than my G35 sedan? It's small, has only 2 doors and 2 seats and no roof!

Also the type of drivers that buys the cars. Miata drivers tend to be safe and law biting drivers and does not get into alot of accidents, so their insurance rate reflects it. For the same reason IS300 are more aggressive drivers then Gs therefore their insurance is higher.

the IS300 insurance is more because replacement parts cost more in case of an accident and the car isnt as safe as the G

There isn't one answer to which car is cheaper to insure. Every insurance company decides how to classify and price their insurance. That's why you should get quotes from several insurers....especially when contemplating the purchase of a new car.
