I was just wondering what would be more expensive in terms of insurance. Which will be higher, A 350z of G35 sedan. And will a G35 coupe be that far off from the 350z? Please help me out and let me know! Thanks in advance fellas
I have state farm and had them check on the insurance difference for a coupe versus a 350z and it ended up being almost a $200/per 6 month difference. (I have full coverage 100/300K with $2000 deductible).
I hope this helps.

Interesting side note: I had an 03 G35 sedan before, and when I asked my agent what the difference would be if I got an 03 coupe (which is what I have now), and he told me it was only $16 every 6 months more!

more seats, more doors = bigger car = safer (in logic). ie minivan.
minivan = drive slow.
less seats, less doors = smaller car = less safe ie sport car.
sport car = drive fast = cause more accidents, gets more tickets.

I got my rims insured on my last car, and at the end they screwed me and only paid for 80% of what they THOUGHT the rims were worth.
Plus if you have a highly modified car, I'm sure they'll find a reason to bump up your rates or drop you.
Going on the logic most insurance companies use...More Mods= Faster Driving= Racing=Dangerous=Higher insurance.
Rememeber that article that Gieco gave out about street racing and how ignorant they sounded?

The insurance for my G Sedan is considerably cheaper than I was paying for a VW GTI, and a VW Passat. It's also cheaper than what I pay for my wife's base VW Jetta. Someone may have made a mistake somewhere but it's not my job to complain.
