Yea, that's pretty good. You're on course for 50K+. Can't argue with that.

Yeah, I'll keep you all informed as I keep adding the miles.

Are they still cast iron? I think its been time for alluminum for awhile on this expensive a car. I know the older style technically has a better stopping distance, but all the newer size needs is a new set of pads to surpass that. Clearly bigger and more pistons is better.

I ordered them fron stoptech directly.

They will tell you they don't have rotors for g35x, so I just ordered
the 04 non bramboo front rotor for G35 sedan.

The front gap was drop 1" with coupe sport springs, my 05x came with huge 3" front fender gap, it's being bothering me for a while. I finally figured out how to make it even. Sorry for the dirty image.
hey ma sha,

do you know if they sell larger rotors that would fit?
or should I just order the stop tech rotors.
I am looking for a better look (love the cross drilled look)
I guess I am eventually going to drop the front like you, and
get those stop tech plus some good pads. How much are 2 coupe
sport springs?

you cant just put larger diameter rotors on a car. The caliper is fixed, so you can only fit the stock size rotor. Now, if you fabricated different caliper brackets to move the caliper farther away from the hub, than you could put a larger diameter rotor on the car. good luck with that.

thats what I though. So an essence, instalation of a larger rotor would require one of those big brake kits, or a significant amount of money.
I guess replacing the rotors with the stop techs and the brake pads despite the same size would increase performance none the less.
thanks

I dropped my car off (05 G35X) last week for oil service and the dealer gave me an 06 G35X as a loaner. The brakes did feel much stronger and looked much bigger than mine. I now wish I should have waited till the 06 came out before getting my G35X. The 06 brakes felt so similar to a BMW in terms of firmness and effectiveness. I want it!!!

Hi Neal376,

As pointed out by other post, you can't change Rotors without changing the caliper. Stoptech is agood way to go for quality rotor change.

As for dropping the front, you are lucky if you are still looking for them, you can have my set of the coupe front springs for $65 (both L & R) + Shipping.
I know OEM springs for sedan is $260 a pair. Don't know if coupe springs the same price. I have just switched my springs again. I could not stop messing with my car . My car kept hitting car wash rail after lowering plus front lip,
so I removed the coupe springs.

PM me if you are interested.
