Actually...mine has developed some MAJOR creaking issues lately. And, I'm not talking about the usual, fairly soft squeaks that only the driver/owner will notice...I'm talking about severe creaks that sound as if the car was about to fall apart.

However, I'm assuming its a result of my car being so low, suspension being way too stiff, etc. So, I'm just dealing w/ the noises. I figured that if I tried bringing it to the dealership, they'll likely just blame it on the suspension anyways...so, oh well.

But yeah, I have to say that the G's really do squeak/creak way more than it should. I've had several other cars in the past which I've slammed too...and none of them sound as bad as my G.

I still love it though...drives like nothing else! ^-^

Im about to punch out my ****** back windows because everytime I brake for gas the car it squeeks, also my passenger seat rattles too. I take my car to the dealer once every week and they lube it up but it still does not work, Im going again on wed to get it fixed, I will update you guys if they change my sealings.

Def seems more prevalent with sunroof'd cars.
I've been OK so far through 1.5yrs on the road

Do you guys all drive with the radio off all the time? I don't hear a thing ever except road and engine noise and rock and roll, all of which I like.

my old car 2000 S430 (total 82k) had some rattles, so don't worry so much about it. Actually, MB is made like **** now days... there will never be a car like my 1977 SL 450 or 87 420SEL

My 05 X has some squaeks to it too. I fixed most of them easily with felt tape. I was a bit bothered at first, but with all the positive things about this car, the squeaks are minor. The power, handling, looks, and overall package, make me kinda forget about the few issues.

There are very easy fixes for this and one of the is not using lublicant by the dealer - search the forum or send me a PM. If fact I've banned the dealer from ever using lubircant any where near the interior - this forces them to make the permanent fix. Friggen dealers - WTF could not spray lubricant on a problem area - fix the f'n thing...

I have only noticed my 05 rattle in the storage areas where I keep stuff mainly the sunglass holder but I put everything in microfiber and that takes care of that but my car has a little over 5k miles on it so that could be the reason I don't have any rattle!

Nada here. Once in a while I get a rattle from my seatbelt buckles when the windows are open. Funny thing is that when I actually put my seatbelt on... it goes away on my side. UBC, jbx

Keeping up the good fight...

So, I guess I'll use this thread to bring up my own problems.

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/54352-2005-noises-squeak-dash-rear-wind-noise-rattles-bass-kicks-wind.html describes most of them. I'm sure I have other posts out there that describe one or two more.

Since I wrote that, my passenger front window developed a problem where it would gradually drift downward very slightly as I drove the car. This would be exhibited by ticks and pops from the window. If I placed a sticky note on the window, I could see the window move if I flicked the switch back up. I complained, they replaced the window regulator. The noise went away, but it left me with ticks from music, and a window that still moves very slightly. I complained, they replaced the body control module! I was 100% convinced this would not fix the problem, and was correct. It is still apparent. I think they knew full-well the BCM would not fix the issue, but since its a 100% free operation, I was fine with it. I get to complain once again about this after Thanksgiving.

On top of that, the door panel now rattles going over bumps and around turns!

I also have:

1. Intermittent ticks from both rear windows
2. Ticks from the rear parcel shelf
3. Ticks from the front left and right A/C vents
4. My squeaky clock came back!!!
-- Since I've been dealing with this squeak for MONTHS, I know that the problem is precisely described in http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB05-053.htm . Unfortunately, the service manager I spoke with was unfamiliar with the TSB. I really hope the technicians were.

Anyway... I'll go post my own thread to rant in later.
~ Mike

Exactly- Having driven German cars for the past 10-years, the G feels drum tight, albeit with a couple of plastic on plastic creaks here and there. I learned in the Audis that 3M silicon spray is your friend.

I guess the solution is to have the tsb's performed and just generally let the dealer try to take car of the rattles. Our G has no more rattles than our BMW, but luckily our Infiniti dealer is more accomodating when I mention them. I had one near the sunroof and one in the driver seat and they fixed both pretty easily (rubber trim in the sunroof well and replace drivers seat harness).

I just bought an 03 5AT with 42k on it, and its solid, however, before I made a payment on it, it fell victim to a hit and run while parked. it was all cosmetic damage, and even the week I drove it before I put it in the shop there were no creaks or audible vibrations. the day I got it back from the body shop there was a phantom noise somewhere in the passenger side area, but after about 50 miles it went away. only real noise I get is when I hit bumps, but I drown that out with the engine revs. oh and if any of you have the stock system cassette deck it makes a ton of noise. at highway speeds with the radio cranked it isn't noticeable, but at city paces I listen to teh radio or kick on the CD player.
