Best 4 Square I ever saw was for a 350Z...The guy had a free and clear S2000 with under 20K miles on it and they were going to offer him $12K, payments of over $800 a month, down of around $7K...All for a Base model Z...There are some decent people selling cars- they work at Saturn...No, there really are some nice car salesman, but they don't make the top dollars and they don't last long...

There are often confrentations when a saavy or prudent and confident buyer intersects with one of these hard core closers.

Those guys work well on for the weaker more soft spoken non C&D readin people. Folks like my dad used to fight literally with these knuckheads at pontiac all the time. He is a nut though about hammering down the BS and getting the invoice out and walking out at least 2 times as a matter of principle for every deal....im not kidding.

When savvy buyers walked into my showroom in 88 there was little you could do but send them to honda. Hondas were selling way better than camrys and we had the crusty van and the old school landcruiser which didn't start but once in 3 months - only one on lot and it lurched with tranny problems when i showed to a coupe expecting.

I sold 2 $12,000 trucks in a summer and decided on college.

 

No Kong- that was a 48 month buy...The excuse was that the Base model sells like lightning...Still seemed to me that they were going well over sticker...Of course they brought it down, but they ended making the max they could on it...Shady, shady, shady...
