[QUOTE=DaveB]Just curious, but I have yet to find one dyno or 1/4 mile ET/MPH from either a G or Z showing power gained or lost with an aftermarket y-pipe. The general consenus at my350Z.com is "don't waste your time or money".[/QUOI
i FINALLY GOT THE MEGAN Y-PIPE, I FEEL ALITTLE DIFFERENCE, SO NO GAINS WITH THE YPIPE?
i have a popcharger and a megan ypipe

But don't quote me on this if you find me posting in the Private Classifieds forum ("Megan Y-Pipe 4 sale!)

these mods will be noticed more if you go f/i. a bigger gain would have been had with high flow cats. i will say this - you can nickel and dime yourself all the way up to $3000 (or more) in bolt ons, and not notice a thing, except when you're n/a, you're slower (except on high-end).
if you're not going to go f/i, maybe you should save your money, unless you want to spend as much (or more) on n/a mods such as cams, gears, etc...

So f/i or nothing? $3000 and NO gains?
How about twin turbo and NOS or nothing?

g35papa - that's my take on it.
i've got about $10k in my car already (mostly in body, rims, tires, system etc...), at least $3k being engine mods... the only reason i'm not vomitting over this is because i had planned to go f/i from the beginning, and pieced my air induction/exhaust system to be more free when the time came... so i could get more hp, with less boost (less stress on the engine), so it will hopefully be a little safer. we'll see soon enough.
