stillen...

Hi there...
I'm a "lurker" on your site and a member of the nissan family. I mainly read and search posts here cos i think the g's are fascinating autos. I was browsing my usual hangout (maxima.org) and came across a link to a sentra forum about stillen customer service...some of you may have already seen it but this is for those that havent and a reminder to those that have....i wouldnt like to see anyone else get burned by these guys and even though this might be an isolated event, you never know: it may be you next. Please make your judgements accordingly after going through the thread.
below is the link.

Re: stillen...

Yea agreed. No one should be treated like that. Even if the policy says otherwise there are better ways to handle angry cutomers. I wonder if this has to do with what kind of car he drives since the post was under Sentra. I only wonder if they would treat us Infiniti better. If I was driving MB 500SL and ask for replacement parts I probably get a better treatment since they know I pay big bucks ....

Not that they were right in the way they handle the problem with that person. But for the rest of us, this should be a warning to read the return policy on web sites before buying stuff. I always do and then decide if I want to take a risk or not.

The only companies that will cover return charges are big companys like Amazon.com or Buy.com, most small shops will not pay to have defective merchandise returned to them, and they state it on there web site. I've been burned by this a few times thats why i learned to read the return policy.

Also you might want to order through a local shop next time, the price might be somewhat more expensive but usally if something is wrong they will take care of it for you, and companies like Stillen usally want argue with shops as much as an individual, being that the shop orders alot from them vs the individual who will order only a few parts in his life time from them.

And yes i know my spelling sucks :P
