Clutch question...should I be worried?!?!

Clutch question...should I be worried?!?!
Gave the car a rinse off tonite...decided to "air dry" if y'know what I mean.
Felt a little immature, so turned off VDC and did a few launches. It was fun, until...
On the 3rd or 4th launch...I was redlined in 1st and I shifted into 2nd. Then, the unexpected/unimaginable happened - the clutch gave out! What I mean is, the pedal felt like there wasn't anything attached to it & the car wasn't moving anymore despite my reving of the engine!!!
I was like, "NO WAY!!!" The car only has 12,800 miles on it & I don't abuse it much.
After a couple seconds of shock & dumbfoundedness...I turned the VDC back on & put the car in gear again. It drove fine after that. Of course, when I got back, the car reaked of toasted clutch.
So...should I be worried? Is that normal? Has anyone else experienced this?
Like I said, the car only has about 12,800 miles on it & I don't launch it like that much....so, I highly doubt that the clutch is already worn out...RIGHT?!?!
Any feedback would be highly appreciated...Thanks!!!

Clutch wear could be from just over use and not just abuse. For instance, if you keep the clutch in halfway to balance on a hill, you are wearing the clutch. If you have an AWD G35, the clutch might slip more easily since there is more traction. When I rev it up between shifts, I shift very quickly and don't notice any burnt clutch odors. If you car drives okay, then it's probably fine just with a little less clutch.
