Is there anyway to "revive" this thread? Meaning the images.. The hosting account must be long gone, but the instructions are intended to go along with the now missing images. Can we do something about this? I am offering to do any image hosting needed. Perhaps a moderator should look into an image hosting account to ensure stickied threads don't lose images..

Yeah I know Dave is still alive lol I was referring to the images specifically haha.. I was going to send him a pm but thought it might be worthwhile to first see if the images could be restored and in turn, the thread. To keep us from filling up Dave's inbox.

All the pics should work now. Essentially, if you hear a squeak or rattle, mark it on the face of the panel with a piece of tape, remove the panel, and start looking around for the culprit in the general area where your tape marker is. Almost everytime, it's a piece of hard plastic taping a metal part of the chassis.

B Pillar buzz - near seat belt height adjuster - or so I thought

I have read through this thread twenty times trying to find a solution to this buzzing noise I have chased for weeks. Its right in the drivers left ear, near the seat belt height adjuster in the B Pillar. After several forays into the B Pillar area, felt taping anything I could think of, I finally determined that the noise has been eminating from where the arm rest on the rear drivers side door attaches, up near the handle. The two different leather materials rubbing together were making the sound (a phenomonen I have noticed throughout the vehicle). I was able to put a small shot of lubricant (suggest something heaver than WD40 that won't evaporate over time) in the gap, and the noise is now totally gone.

Just wanted to contribute.

Wish I could contribute with a solution but so far all I have is a location of a trouble spot. I do have BC Coilovers- but I'm not convinced that's what's causing it. My problem sounds like a knocking just outside of the child seat anchor location, right up against where the rear deck meets the B pillar. The reason I troubleshot my coilovers is because it's the exact location of where the shock tube attaches to the car that is making the racket. Coincidence? Anyone else had this problem?

Thought it might just be the seat itself- but the shaking the seat makes a different sound. I put in some weather stripping anyway just to see if it could buffer but it didn't touch it. I also tried adjusting the spring tension on the coil on that side... but even adding an inch of tension didn't touch the problem either.

The sound seemed to have started with the installation of a sub behind the seat- and I'm starting to wonder if there's something back under the rear deck on that corner that had to be adjusted for the installation? I know taking that rear deck off is a nightmare... argh.

Thank you for the thread, I recently took out the rear seats and went to town with some sticky felt. It got rid of a ton of rattles and a really bad squeak. Thanks again.
