As for getting a letter from Infiniti, I doubt it...your best bet is dealing w/ the local dealer (IMO).
well i tried talking to the service manager after one of the service people told me no... and he turned his back and walked away after he said its only 03's and 04's, which i think is complete bull****!

Mine only squeek when it is really hot outside. Not sure why that's the case though because I don't the heat outside would really affect the temp of the brakes that much. Hot, warm, or cold, the things still get hot.

I took mine in and they said my rotors were glazed after about 6k. They lightly machined the rotors and burnished the pads. I could still hear them squeek alittle after that. I think it could be the pads. Based on discussions with Nissan specialists (non-dealers) the factory pads on the Gs (2005) are actually performance pads and they weren't surprised that I got alittle squeek.

I have an 05 X model with 11,000 mile and am already on my 3rd set of front brakes and rotors and 2nd set of rear brakes and rotors. At 5000 miles the front brakes started grinding when coming to a stop and I could see that the rotors were scored. I also had a loud squealing coming from the brakes as well. At 6,000 they resurfaced the rotors. This didn't help as the problem persisted and at 7,000 change they front brakes and rotors. After 1,000 miles I started getting the grinding and the rotors were scored again. Getting it fixed this time was a lot more difficult. At my dealers request, I called Infiniti Consumer Affairs and after first being told that they would have a technical specialist look at my car, they ultimately refused to help me claiming that brakes are a normal maintenance item and are not covered under the warranty although at the time my car only had 8,000 miles on it. I called the GM at my dealership to protest this and he was very helpful. He got a regional specialist to look at the car which at this time now had 10,000 miles on it. They changed all 4 rotors and brakes as they determined that the front brakes were wearing faster than normal and the rear rotors were glazed which was causing the squealling. I'm still worried that the brake problems will persist in this car and am hoping that Infiniti extends the warranty so that I don't have to go through this hassle everytime I have a problem with the brakes.

I guess my point is that you need to either call Infiniti consumer affairs or the GM at the dealer and raise a stink about this as it's not normal to have excessive brake wear this early.

Wow....that ain't right!!!! He turned his back & walked away!? What an ****!! Regardless of the '03's/'04's, doesn't he acknowledge that you have serious issues w/ your brakes since they've worn so quickly?

Andy2812 - wow..sorry to hear about your brake issues....sounds "lemony" to me...that sucks. At least they're addressing yours.

So you bought it with 5K demo miles on it, which means it was driven under direct supervision of an Infiniti employee during that time...and you put 3600 miles on it & abused it to that degree in that short of a timeframe!? Come on...they can't be serious.
