If you're not happy with it, change it out.
That drone would drive anyone nuts.

I agree with Msedanman. If it bothers you that much, switch it!

Have you considered getting an aftermarket exhaust control valve? That way you can just flip a switch when you want it to be quiet or loud.

I have no idea how reputable those sites are, I just did a quick google search. But I would look into it, if you're concerned with exhaust noise.

Bert,

How does that work? It looks kind of restrictive.

Has anyone with an 03/04 put an 05/06 midpipe on besides Trey's wife (who was very helpful btw, I just want other opinions as well)?

What are your experiences?

Thanks!

So honestly I don't have any experience with this, BUT if set to fully open it does not look too restrictive as it just has that flat valve dissecting the diameter of the tube.

After trying to do more research on this, I did also find a few posts regarding a similar yet different product, an exhaust cutout. From what I gather, it gives you the option of having the gases routed through the normal piping or with a flip of a switch, having it just exit the car immediately at that point (sans muffler).

Quadcam has this in his car, you might want to ask him about his experience with it.

Here are also a few other links regarding the same product from varying companies:

http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/

http://www.buickgn.com/electricexhaustcutout.htm

As per Trey's recent testing, https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...uffler+results, these products may be worth taking a look at, as without any muffler he did show gains and a very impressive sound.

Has anybody else put an 05 sedan midpipe on an 03? I guess I may end up being somewhat of a pioneer if I give this a try.

Trey,

You have driven your wife's car. What do you think of the set-up?
