Ok Guys so here is the deal. I told my Partner Cheryl what happened and so this morning we actually she went and took the car apart well sort of she removed the rocker panels and pulled back the carpeting and then she pulled out the styrofoam block that Infiniti has in there for insulation. She then took out her linemans hammer and a small piece of 2x4 and was able to pound down the floor board. Ok so it is not perfect but it is better than it was. We really do not want to have to deal with the insurance company I am sure they are one call away from cancelling us. This would be a bad thing since we have an Infiniti, a TT quattro and a Montero SUV.

So I took some pictures, I am still going to call the shop and file a claim with thier insurance, but I needed to get the drivers side punched down a little so I can at least drive the car without having to take my left shoe off to drive comfortably.

It is amazing what a little bit of anger and a bunch of caffine can do. I will post pictures soon.

Thanks to all for the great advice.

Gretchen

For all those in So Florida here is where I had my tires installed. They were a recommended installer from Tirerack.com. I got a good deal on the tires but now I regret doing this.

THUNDER ALLEY PERFORMANCE
Installer since: 06/01/2003

Address:
2006 NW 55TH AVE
MARGATE, FL 33063-0000
(954) 974-1799

I choose them for 2 reasons (1) They were really close to my house (2) They had a high rating.

I will be calling them tomorrow and arrange a time for them to take a look at my car.

I will keep you posted on what happens. Thanks for all the good info you guys are great.

By the way Cheryl is still pissed so if you need some dents removed or pounded out give us a call, I will pump her up with some caffine and send her over with her lineman's hammer.

Ok, so now I have to admit that at times like this I wish I had a man around. Typically what happens at least to me anyways is that I call the shop, they give me a line and then they make me feel guilty about this and then I end up paying for someone elses mistake.

I am putting a post on Tirerack tomorrow after I talk to these guys if they are not willing to help me out I will post a bad review.

GRAB SOME ***** and go down there with your girlfriend and tell it like it is. I can tell you that there is no doubt they did you wrong. if they drove the car out of the bay, they probably even knew what they had done and simply didnt say anything. MAKE THEM PAY FOR THE REPAIR OR GET "HELP ME HOWARD". I have always hated Margate! Crap city. RX

Wow! Good luck to the two of you in getting this fixed. You'd think the installer would know better.

Why did you attempt to flatten this yourself? I would have left it completely intact as it was until I took it back to the tire shop, hope that doesn't create a problem, them saying you messed with it yourself. I hope you can get this taken care of okay. I don't see how the hell anyone could be that incompetent using a lift, is that the only damage?

your biggest mistake was trrying to fix it yourself. I would have left it as is and called the shop. Left a message if they were closed and taken tons of pics.
