It depends on your driving style. I didn't change my pads on my brembos till about 15,000 miles. However, I do not track the car or drive it too hard. Your best bet would be to take it to the dealer and have them check how much pad is left on there. Or find someone who can tell how much is left for you. It's pretty easy to see, but if you have never chacked on your own, you might need assistance. Hopw this helps.

Just so you know, it is possible that you need new brakes since you drive it hard; However, I wouldn't be suprised if you are experiencing the slight squeaking that is sometimes "normal" on these cars.

thx for the help g35audioman...yea i think im gonna have to take it somewhere so they can look at the brakes and how much is left on the pads...another observation i made is that i never got brake dust and 05s arent supposed to get much brake dust but recently i have been getting it...i guess thats a sign? and when you say new brakes are you referring to the pads? thanks, eric

Brake dust could be a sign. I know when my pads were worn out, they did dust a bit more than usual.

When i say "brakes" I am referring to the pads. However, there is a possibility that you need new rotors as well. That is something you will know when you have someone look at them.

just bring it to the dealer and they might just change your brake rotors out and get you pads

It is covered under warranty for the first time, since they are high performance brakes and wear out quickly, people had complained about them a lot. At least thats how it was at costa mesa infiniti, CA.

05's are not covered under warranty, only 03's and 04's I believe.

use a mirror on a stick and a flash light.. stick it between the rims and face it towards the caliper... youll see a hole on top of the caliper and youll be able to see whats left on the pads

I've got an 05 too and i drive it like i stole it pretty much every day. I'd say we probably have the same driving styles. I've got 8300 miles on mine and i still have more than 8 32nd's left. Suggested replacement is when the pads are at 2 32nds. You shouldnt have to start worrying about them until about 25-30K miles.
