Please classify your G's fan blower power

Mine is weak vs my old maxima/wife's RX300. The AC filter was pretty dirty so I naturally thought "okay that's the problem". I replaced it easy enough but the power of the air coming out of the vents is still not that great.

Normal? All speeds work and get more powerfull but there's really no great air force until you get it to the last 2 speeds.

If this is NOT normal IYO, I'll just add it to the list of things to have the dealer check. I supposed I can compare it to whatever loaner they give but that would be a bit late.

Thanks

My understanding is the filter is only utilized when the AC is on. The G may be different, but that's how it works on my Altima. So if that's true, a dirty filter would not make a difference when the AC is off.

I don't have a complaint about the fan's power. But instead it really bothers me that on a cold morning I can have my temp set at 63 degrees and the car will blow hot air for about 20 minutes, well after the car has reached that temperature. It seems that this system is very slow to adjust to temps. I have not experienced that in my other 4 VQ cars over the years.

Mine blows pretty darn hard. Put it on Recycle and it should blow much harder.

Do you have it set on upper and lower vents? Do you hear a loud fan noise at top speed? With the upper vents on only at speed 2, I got a decent airflow. I rarely use anything higher than that unless it's really hot.

My Altima had this same problem. There was hardly any air coming out when set to setting 1 and 2. Though, it seemed normal in the higher settings. I can't remember what they fixed, and my invoice is in storage (somewhere - sorry). But, something definitely was replaced, and the A/C was back to normal.

I don't have any complaints. Like you, I don't notice significant airflow out of the vents when it on the bi-level setting. There are a lot of vents that are getting utilized in the position including the four in the dash, the center lower console near your feet, the under seat vents, and the rear console vents. If you change the setting to blow solely our of the dash vents, the air flow becomes much more substanial, even on "2". I find the G's blower to be very quite until the 4 and 5 settings.

Found my invoice in case you have the same problem as I had. The problem was written up as "blower works on the 4th setting only." Though it says 4th setting only, my problem sounded like yours where the blower was very weak in the lower settings...you could feel something but almost nothing and didn't feel normal.

The work performed was: "replaced blower resistor". Blower worked fine afterwards. you could just have the dealer check it out to be safe.

Hey. I tried that last night. It's "better" as in acceptable. I can feel a change inbetween 1,2,3 etc... so I don't know if it's a resistor like the other gentleman had in the Altima.
