Yeah, you could have done better but...spilled milk yada yada. Don't sweat it. If you wanted AT I would have suggested the TL. I just think the 5AT G35 is a bore to drive. The TL is a lot nicer, so it makes up for having an auto tranny. Oh well, you got a good car nonetheless.

And mommy and daddy paid for it, so it's not like you should even complain. I know I wouldn't.

Yes-Enjoy the car and don't worry agout how you MIGHT have gotten a better deal. Even though the guy is a child of a family friend, he still has to make a living for him and the dealer and you would not likely have gotten a huge amount more off. And in a few months the cars may be selling for less, but that does not mean you should have waited. And IMHO the AT drives very well and you can shift when you are in a situation to enjoy it. Besides, with the G35X there was no choice about transmissions.

Have a good time driving it (and don't forget how lucky you are to have a car bought by your folks-I know because I can't afford to buy my college student son a new car!). Good luck with it.

Sure beats the hand me down car I drove through collage and a year after graduation, which was a 10+ year old car.
