You need to buy Carfax so see if it's a lease or rental. That greatly affects price
You need to get familar with options and their pricing. ie.. navi is a $2000 option. Premium package, sport package etc...
You need to hop on edmunds and price this stuff out.
The more you know, the stronger your position is. The less you know, your position gets weaker. (probably $2000-$3000 weaker)

Ask a reputable local used car dealer to call around and start looking for what you want at the auctions or others' lots.tThey will sell to each other at wholesale and do not pay each other the sales taxes we will have to pay. My father-in-law saw an 05 with 35k miles sell for $19,000 a few months ago. He is now looking for one for me.
