Go to Kbb or Edmunds when you get a list of options to determine if it's a good deal... I paid 29,600 for my 2005 with 2400 miles with sport/prem package back in October for comparison...

That's a lot of miles, but price doesn't sound too bad.

I bought a brand new 05 G35 sedan last month with 500 miles (accumulated from dealer transfer) w/ premium package C for 30K. Try calling dealerships to find out if they still have leftover 05s.

I got a base auto 05 sedan with sports package in Sept for $27.5K. 8 miles on the odometer. So no, I think you can do better. There are still several 05 sedans around at the dealers.

Problem getting in so late in the game with last year's model is finding one with decent mileage with the right color/packages at the right price.

Sometimes you have to make a decision based off subpar choices...

High mileage + okay price + awesome color choice w/ packages

or

low mileage + good price + not your favorite color/ no packages

and so forth.

If you feel for the car go for it before it's too late. However, don't just go ahead unless you know you're secure with your money and the deal.

i think the milage is too much for that price... it's a reliable car, but too many miles in such a short period of time spells trouble in the long run....

The 2005's are coming off of lease and rental lots at this time of year, hence the high mileage. You will see lots at auctions (almost all with the same options but in various colors) selling for 20k-23k, then being re-sold for 25-29k at dealers. Check out www.cars.com and www.edmunds.com and search for the car with a 500 mile radius to get an idea of what is out there. Then pay for unlimited carfax reports at www.carfax.com to see the car's history.
Almost all are good, but I have found some which were wrecked, had wrong mileage advertised, or were bought from the flooded areas after Katrina hit.

i looked all night on autotrader, cars.com and most in the 26k range hand 18-23k miles. the best i found was a individual seller who had 10k miles sport pkg and aero for $28k. i have seen no ads, at least for dealers with new 05's left....i wonder if they would even advirtise those though

that is a lot of miles for a '05 G35 but the price isn't that bad. you can find a lower mileage vehicle for a few dollars more.

NADA guide says that an 05 sedan with 23000 miles, non sport, with a sunroof, and the premium stereo has an average trade in of 26475 and an average retail of 30125 the coup with similar options was not available. but assuem that they go for a couple grand more, because they have the more powerful engine.
