I posted pics back in Sep/04. It has since been repaired. It's not limited to the 2003's I pulled the rubber from a 2005 demo in the showroom and found the same rust problem... you should have seen the salesman's face when I showed him.

RUST 2003 g35

I had boh my doors replaced because of the same problem. June 2005.
Infiniti did not seal the top of the door properly alowing moisture to get behind and rust. Unanounced recall. That is what I was told by my dealer.
I live in ottawa canada.

Can we get a zoomed out view. Kinda of hard to tell where that is so close up.

I think if it came to that, they would probably give you a new car, am I wrong?

It's behind the passenger doors.

They are replacing both doors on my left...

Just came back from my Infiniti dealers and after inspecting and taking pictures of my doors, they've decided to completely replace the left front and back doors. I just hope there won't be too much of a contrast between colors since my sedan is a '03.

Hmmm. Interesting. I have a 2003.5 sedan, and I have 2 small spots where the paint is bubbling, but it is due to rock chips that occured during the winter. Not sure if that would be covered under warranty. I would think the the paint shouldn't bubble even if there was a rock chip.

I was just pondering the samething. My Lincoln LS had it share of rock chips but the surface never rusted. I just found a rock chip on the roof of my 05 that I bought in august and there is rust in the little divot.

For my case, my door's panel looked like it's bubbling and it's definetely not due to rock chips. Have your dealer inspect your door...hey you never know and you might get yourself a new set of doors!
