Garage remote-no more visor

OK, so I didn't like having the garage door opener clipped to my visor. For some reason it bugged me, maybe because the roofline on the G35 is kinda low. Personally, I like my new location much better....velcro is a great thing.

The other thing you can do is put the door opener under the hood.
Then remove the door opener battery & pick up the high beam cct. for power.
Jumper the door opener button so that when power is applied the unit opens the door.

When you flash hi beams the door opens.

My 05 is a base sedan with no options except a sunroof (no homelink). I didn't know about the high beam thing. Is their a diagram or photo that shows how to do it. Sounds cool.

I just bought an auto-dimming homelink mirror off of an FX. I will have it wired up this week.

Post when you do! I'd be interested in seeing if there is already pre-run wiring for those of us with w/o the P. Pkg.

I think our cars (sedan) have a very tall roofline already... compared with bimmer and volvo

That high beam sounds cool.
I have homelink/sunroof/dual power seats/xenon headlights, 17' rims, etc.

but no NAV, heated seats, or ground effects kit. Is that not in the PP on an 03? I haven't really looked into it.
