350z OEM springs

How much do you think the OEM 350z springs will lower an 05 X? I am undecided as to which lowering springs I am going to be lowering my X with.

HPD MSR in Hypersilver.

Front 19 x 8.5 offset +42
Rear 19 x 9.5 offset +40

I'm running the OEM 350Z springs all around so it's about an inch drop.

Indeed, from the pics (n from other users), I would say it would be

F: 1.3 inch
R: 1.6 inch
drop

Yet, for the X, since you have 0.5 inch higher to start with, you might
be looking at a 1.5 / 2.1 inch drop..

I just Ordered a set of 06' OEM Z Springs ... As I understand They should lower a sedan 1" and since an X is .4" higher, an X would be lowered 1.4".

I'll let you know how it turns out

As an owner of an 05X, I'm curious as to how this works out and what ride quality is like. I'd hate to lower the car and get a bouncy ride. Also, with no sport shock alternatives available for the X, we're stuck with the OEM struts. Another reason I haven't lowered mine yet. Let us X owners know the results please

buy them off of a 350z at my350z.com. I got '05 struts with 500 miles on them for $130 shipped and springs for $50 shipped. you can find some good deals in the wanted/ private sales there.

The bounce comes from the shocks. NOT from the springs.

I am aware of that, thanks. I am just curious if the 350Z springs match up with the OEM struts. I'd hate to put the 350Z springs in and ruin my ride.

This has probably been asked before. Are the 04.5+ springs a different color than the earlier ones?

I also ordered mine from my350z classifieds .. and as I understand the 04.5+ springs are stiffer .. If you do a search, someone on this forum put the Z springs on his X and had good results.

I will get them installed in the next week or two ... anyone recommend a good place to get them installed in South Florida ?? (EXCEPT INFINITI OF COCONUT CREEK)

The shocks and springs physically fit. However, the shocks will likely be trashed as they will bottom out. May bottom out.

Sorry for the wrong info =)
To correct myself, the 04.5+ revised springs and shocks should have
less bounching because of the revised design on the shocks. Moreover,
they stiffened the rear springs to a spring rate of 417
