Re: TSX vs G35

yeah, i wuz kinda suprized when i first started this thread, how we got near 60 post within the first few hours. I guess we've been looking for competition for a while. I think the conclusion is that there wont b anything to really chalange the G for a long, lloooonng time

Re: TSX vs G35

from acuranews.com:
The TSX features a 2.4-liter DOHC, i-VTEC engine that generates 200 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 166 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. The i-VTEC "intelligent" valve-control system adjusts valve timing and lift for enhanced performance across a broad power band in addition to improved fuel economy and reduced exhaust emissions.

The looks are nothing special and this car appears to be just as close to a pumped up g20 as it is to a g35. People who are looking for a $20-30 luxury car will consider this car against a g35 sedan (I will for one) as well as a top of the line Altima/Accord, Maxima maybe too. I would venture to guess that once you add options it will get expensive fast and actually make the g35 look like an even better value but that sort of information will take a little while before its readily availible

Re: TSX vs G35

the max is nissan's flagship. you can't have the altima being a close contender.. anything less than 20 extra hp for the max, and the altima would look more appealing, especially with price. they look pretty much the same anyway..
plus, the g, with a few quick mods, can get at least 280 hp, just like the coupe.. and i'm sure it has potential for a little more with a SC or turbo. being only 5 hp more than the g was kind of a surprise.. i was expecting the max to be closer to the g35 coupe in hp... wait till the new TL comes out.. it's already at 260.. i'm expecting a good 15 - 20 hp increase in the 2004 model.

Re: TSX vs G35

Unless Max is RWD, does not that ugly front grill and handle as well as G35, I don't have a bit of regret for my G35

is this by far the longest post/thread of the entire forum, or have there been longer ones somewhere?

Re: TSX vs G35

Just received an email from Acura, they have a TSX teaser site up and running. Not impressed by the styling. It's still bland bland bland coming from Honda. Downhill after the s2000, although, I think the RSX is a good looking car.

Re: TSX vs G35

I saw it at Detroit, it was the only place you could go there and get AWAY from people...there was nobody even looking at it....ZERO interest.
