Your bolt pattern is 5x114 so that eliminates one. What are the offsets?

I would think that the 8.5 in wide width would be a little too wide....I would stick with the 8 inchers, that is still an inch wider than stock. I mean the 8.5 in width ususally uses 265-275 tires - you wont have those all the way around on a g35. The 8 in width, with maybe a 235-245 would be a nice improvment over the stock 225's.

as far as tires whats the better fit. 235/35/19 or 235/40/19
245/35/19 or 245/40/19

with a offset of +40

what are you smokin? You dont run 265's on an 8.5 wide wheel. The norm around here with G's is 245 front and 275 rear on a staggered set-up but he cant get staggered because of the AWD so 8.5 all around would be perfect with a 245/35 tire.

The first option would be the best imo. the rims will be flush with the the fender and if you drop it an inch it would look percect.

why not? cars with 245's come with an 8 in wide rim such as my GTO(17x8 stock). Move up to an 8.5 in rim, you can run a little more width such as 255-275.

I actually have some Nitto drags in a size 275 on a set of stock 8 in rims, and they work perfect on my goat - they are the widest tire you can put on the GTO without rolling the fenders. This is because the Nitto's run narrow though. I wouldn't put any other tire in a 275 on a stock GTO as it would rub.

never said they dont work on goat's, but for the G35's you dont run 275's on an 8-8.5 wide wheel. plus on the GTO or mustangs you're only using 275's for drag racing, if you put 275's on an 8.5" wheel on a car like the G while you're carving through the canyon... say bye bye to all stability of that tire.

If you could get 19x8.5, +40 offset, that would be ideal, but +35 works.

Stop thinking Pontiac and start thinking Infiniti.
