I was just driving a regular street today and went to pass someone in the next lane went the street started going up a hill. I just gave it like 1/2-2/3 throttle for a few seconds and looked down at I was going 101mph and still going up. Ive gone a lot faster on a street close by but it sure is shocking when you expect 75-85mph. And I just saw a cop pull someone over 2 miles back. I need a radar detector.

Higher, realistic speed limits would *force* people to pay attention.

Thats because here in CA if you pull into the fast lane and slow down to around 40-45 MPH. It's OK to talk on the phone while you drive.

These are the people who kill me!

120-130 on the fwy, it might not be a tree, but hitting a stalled truck in the main lanes at 120. Try a delivery truck going 50--it is like hitting a parked car at 70-80mph.

wow i hope u could recognize the g after a crash like that !

i wasnt bragging, i simply wanted to see how well the car handled by others account. I had stock horenza's on the g and the car was considerably louder going that fast. The steering was rock stable and almost felt stiffer. I dont know if the g has speed sensitive steering? Also was not aware windows and roof close on their own

Indeed relalistic speed limits would force people to pay more attention. in Germany, they train people to drive at higher speeds, and yet, they still have less crashs there than we have per year.

Its just dumb. 55 on a four lane highway. only Liberals in Toyota Prius's will go that slow.

People would get no where if the speed limits were that slow.

Another thing, keep the interstate speed limit ONE SPEED! YOu start in SD and the SL is 70mph, you go into MN and its 60mph. lets have one constant speed here people! Make it 75-80!!!

I know a lot of people would hate this but I think driving with cell phones should be illegal unless you have bluetooth or a headset.

Word. Up in Santa Fe, that is the law. Hard to enforce it when everybody's windows are tinted though.

Side note: Strtsk8r321, You skate as a hobby or profession? I street skated about 15 years. Took about 4 years off between h/s & college then picked it up until I turned 25. It's been snowboarding ever since. I picked up snowboarding to compensate for skating in the winter & it became my current passion. I've actually relocated w/ my job 3 x to keep near the mountains.
